Ladies and gentlemen, meet my good friend iCON Billingsley.
iCON is a brilliant artist. He does so many things well that I find it difficult to give him a title!! Fashion, Music, Art, Writing... I mean, iCON does it ALL. He has been kind enough to lend a couple of his talents to us at Limbo Lessons this week, and I couldn't be more grateful. Check back for his interview in the coming weeks! :-)
'Back To School' Tip:
There is no other garment or accessory that completes your look more than, yeah you already know - the SHOE. She is the most sought after article of clothing - other than the handbag and I am happy to say that it should be. Ladies and (some gents) this back-to-school season is calling for an over effect in the shoe department and I am here to guide you to the perfect foot candy that will be sure to send the panel over the edge!
When you are doing your back to school shoe shopping there are TWO things that you should always be aware of.
1. The QUALITY of your shoe
&
2. The PRICE.
During this season alot of bargains and sales catch the eyes of us thrifty fashionistas but we must be aware because this is what could have us "tipping" with NO TAPS, and that is late. With school bells ringing - shoes will be the catch for this time of year and you can definitely be fooled by the quality if you dont pay close attention. When shopping for a shoe always go in for the sole - this is where most of your weight is put simply because the shoe is so inclined. Make sure that when trying it on that it is sturdy and doesn't seem as though it would wear and tear easily. Next - give that heel & tap a sturdy "prance" and make sure it doesnt wobble and is properly mantled to the sole. Now for the FUN part - here are a couple of styles that should be fancied during this festive period!

Here is where you RUN to the counter - because this one is a keeper! All of my shoppers who KNOW their shoe game knows that Mr. Antonio has stepped it up the past few seasons. From corny pointed's to superb knock-offs, this guy has had the tippers in a frenzy! Jessica Simpson PETRA Heels
These "pumps were made for walking" - well at least thats what she said! Miss Simpson hasn't failed and doesn't look like she is going to with this shoe venture. Since pouncing on the scene a few years ago with her shoe line Simpson has grossed millions from her shoes alone (get into that)! Now if you're looking to add a little "umph" to your step, slide on into these copper heads. The textures and bold colors of this heel is what its all about when you are making that grand entrance - and you can do it for a mere $69.00 (via jessicasimpson.com)
Signature Report Layton Taupe Bootie
Sleek and black as the permed new growth in your head on Easter - this affordable bootie (retailing at $130.00 via Nordstroms.com) is sure to melt the ice that you trample on as you storm whatever function you are attending! I am in love with this glamorous and fearless woman that is taking this season and putting it in a choke-hold. Paired with Wolfords and an over-sized ballooned dress would definitely serve me my dessert for the day.
Steve Madden Frankie Boot
This chic bootie goes for a mere $149.95 and I am quite sure you can go and get it with some kind of discount! (If not hit me up - my girl Kim works for Steve - we can make it happen!) This actual boot will give you the room to stay in line with the whole rock-star aura while allowing you to also switch it up and give a more luxe feel with your favorite pair of denim and a jacket.

Enjoyed this so much! I followed him twitter and realizes he's so blunt and truthful. I can instantly tell he is a not a "beat around the bush" type of person. His taste in fashion is awesome as well. I like him. His advice on a good pair of shoes is valuable gem. Women need to KNOW who is he.
